The above character is from a typewriter font called “1942 Report”. I had read about this font a couple of years ago. If I recall, it’s based on an actual typewritten page used in a 1942 conference somewhere. Pretty neat I think. I’m going to incorporate it into my email sig block. I got the idea after seeing the “L” on the wiki at Larry Lessig’s website….
