I can’t believe how fast work went by today… and it was a 10 hour day! I was just really busy the whole day, and the time flew by.
I normally work 9 hours. 7:30 to 5:30 with 1 hour for lunch. For today and the next 3 days I need to do 10 hours a day. So today I got to work at 7 and left at 6. It was silly, but I could’ve simply taken a 30 minute lunch break, and I could have left at my normal time at 5:30. But I’m a creature of routine, and I didn’t think to do that until the end of my lunchtime. For the next 3 days I’ll start early and take the short lunch.
We discovered today that our contract with our Realtor had ended on the 15th. As has been typical with this guy, he never called. I called his cell phone to talk to him about this, and (also typical of him) he didn’t answer. So I left him a slightly harsh message. In the past when I’ve done this, the guy called Tammy back instead of me. Wuss.
So at any rate, we need to get another Realtor line up as soon as possible. Tammy is going to be interviewing one person on Tuesday, and if she doesn’t feel inclined to go with that person then we have another interview lined up for Friday. I HATE that we’re going for nearly a week and basically our house isn’t on the market. It ticks me off that our Realtor didn’t call and give us a heads up about that.
Tammy is going in on Wednesday for some minor out-patient surgery. So please keep her in your thoughts. It’s just minor surgery, but if it works out well, it could bring a lot of relief to Tammy. So we’re hoping for the best.
I came home after work and had a bowl of the taco soup that I made on Sunday. I spent about an hour and a half watching episodes from the Everest video podcast, and now I’m doing this blog entry. I’ll be hitting the sack in about 30 minutes.
I had originally planned to go to the gym this evening, but I really didn’t think my body had recuperated enough from Saturday’s workout. I believe that you get better results and better workouts if you give yourself enough time to recuperate between visits to the gym. There is such a thing as overtraining, and it’s counter-productive.
I don’t know, but I think that fighting the migraine all day on Sunday seemed to have slowed my recuperative process on that day. Usually I can work out on Saturday morning and Monday night with no problem.
Just three more days to go, and I’m homeward bound…
